I have been painting for as long as I can remember. As a child, I took drawing classes, and during my teenage years, I painted murals in various clubs. Photography, however, has always captivated me. In the mid-90s, a close friend lent me an SLR camera, and with his guidance and many trials, I learned how to use it. Over time, I dedicated myself entirely to painting.

In the early 2000s, I spent nearly a year living in Miami. There, with the help of a great friend, I began creating abstract paintings and built my first portfolio. My work was featured in several galleries across different countries. This phase lasted until mid-2005, when a period of freedom and a strong desire to travel led me to step away from painting.
Despite this, photography remained a constant presence in my life. It became my way to express my art, as I searched for in photography the same depth I had found in painting. This journey is still ongoing, and I’m grateful for that.
Last year, I had the privilege of living in Rome for almost a year and visiting the land of my great-grandparents, near Florence. This experience brought a new direction to my photography. The region overflows with some of the most exquisite and elevated art created by humankind, and being immersed in such beauty has reinvigorated my inspiration. I feel that my artistic journey truly began again at that moment.

Through my images, I hope to transmit the same way of seeing and perceiving what I see and feel when I capture such beautiful places and moments. Thank God, this journey continues, and I look forward to sharing it through my work.
